From June 19th to the 22nd, Santa Fe, New Mexico will be overtaken by giant belt buckles, ten gallon hats, and leather cowboy boots for it's 64th annual Rodeo de Santa Fe. The World's top Rodeo Cowboys (and Cowgirls) will all make their way down to Santa Fe to compete in Bull Riding, Barrel Racing, steer wrestling, and bareback bronc riding, for an experience you could only find in the American Southwest.

The Rodeo de Santa Fe is a family event, and encourages the whole family to come for the wide array of entertainment options. The kids can take part in the annual Mutton Bustin', which is an event at rodeos all over the world that allows the kids to ride on the sheep similar to bull riding. The average ride lasts 8 seconds, and kids wear helmets to prevent injuries. The event was first started as a way to get the younger generation of cowpokes interested in the rodeo and hopefully encourage them to participate further when they are older. There are also rodeo clowns entertaining the crowds throughout the show, as well as the crowning of Santa Fe's Rodeo Queen and Princess.

The Rodeo de Santa Fe draws over 500 contestants from all over the world, including World Champion Cowboys who will amaze you with their performances. If you are looking for a fast-paced event full of energy and excitement, head on down to the Rodeo de Santa Fe this June. Don't forget your cowboy hat!
